This qualification is offered by AMFA to people who are employed or seeking employment in the seafood or maritime industries to operate machinery:

​

• On vessels less than 750kW propulsion power as a Chief Engineer in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)

• On vessels less than 1500kW propulsion power as Second Engineer in the EEZ​
