Programs

The Australian Fisheries Academy offers training for all sectors of the fishing and seafood industries as well as the small vessel maritime industry from entry-level traineeships through to senior management programs.

Programs include regulatory maritime certificates; fishing operations, aquaculture and post harvest traineeship programs; fisheries compliance; seafood processing and retailing; leadership and management; aquaculture (sea farming and land based); sea safety; food safety; quality management and environmental programs.

Industry-based advisory panels allow the Academy to ensure that programs are relevant to industry needs while ensuring successful industry-student partnerships are built that enhance employment outcomes.
